Job Description: 

The selected candidate will plan, organize, direct and review programs and activities relating to the management of the City of Oakland's budgetary, accounting and financial reporting systems; direct the preparation of mandated and budget reports; direct the centralized budget and fiscal analytical services for the City; assist external auditors; review and modify grant procedures; and train and supervise assigned staff. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, public administration, or a related field, 5 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in the areas of budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and management of financial operations in a government agency, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience working with other agencies and elected officials is highly desirable, as is a Master's degree in Finance Business Administration or a related field.
