Please join the Black Caucus for our Annual Business Meeting. This year, we are pleased to have The Honorable Darlene Green, Comptroller and Chief Fiscal Officer of the City of St. Louis. She has more than 30 years of professional experience in public and private finance, and in 1997, she was the first woman and only the third African American elected Comptroller of the City of St. Louis. During her tenure, the City of St. Louis recorded eight credit rating upgrades and nine years of budget surpluses. In 2008, the city earned an A+ credit rating for the first time in 35 years. Comptroller Green makes use of her talent, skills and experience to oversee the financing of some of the largest capital improvement projects in the region, and she is a member of many citywide boards and commissions, including the Airport Commission, and is a trustee for the city’s retirement systems. Comptroller Green will reflect on the fiscal challenges the city has worked through in the past and some of the major budgetary priorities the city plans to take on in the future.
