Cynthia L. Freeman
Cynthia currently serves on the State Board of the Government Finance Officers of Missouri as its Treasurer. She has served on the state board for over 10 years in multiple positions including twice as President and 1st Vice and 2nd Vice President. In addition, she has served on several occasions as State Representative to its national organization.
Cynthia has over 35 years in the accounting field with more than 20 years in state and local government. She is currently the Budget & Fiscal Officer for the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri and served as Finance Director for the City of Platte City, Financial Analyst for the City of Raymore, as an Auditor for the Missouri State Auditor’s Office and the Missouri Department of Revenue. Her experience includes 15 years in the private sector as a controller, accountant or office manager, primarily in the construction industry.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Management, with an emphasis in accounting, computer science and philosophy, from Rockhurst University, and received her MBA in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
