The City of Roseville, located in scenic Northern California, is conducting a search for the position of Director of Finance. Roseville is a financially stable and well-managed city with healthy reserves and a $494 million total FY 2017 budget. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a robust department with approximately 50 staff. Responsibilities of this position include assisting the CFO in the overall strategic and operational responsibilities for finance and budget general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, utility billing, oversight of rate making and compilation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), compliance, and annual audit. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and forward-thinking collaborative leader with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a wide variety of audiences. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial analysis including at least three years of administrative, supervisory and management responsibility in a public-sector municipality. An advanced degree and/or CPA license is desirable. Salary is $139,543 – $187,001 DOQ and is supplemented with comprehensive benefit package including CalPERS retirement.
