The City of Miami Beach is looking for a critical thinker with accounting and financial reporting skills to join our high performance team! This job entails preparing and/or supervising and reviewing annual, quarterly and monthly compliance and financial reports, reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts, and problem solving.
The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university. • Three (3) years full-time financial experience with government fund accounting. • Considerable knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and Governmental Accounting Standard (GAS). • Experience in governmental fund accounting and adept knowledge and understanding of a comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). • Knowledge of rules and regulations relating to finance and accounting operations.
