Full-time position available with KCMO’s Parks & Recreation Department, Financial Services Division, 4600 E. 63rd St. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Develops monthly and quarterly financial reports with linkage to division performance. Collects, analyzes, presents and disseminates information to help the organization make strategic, data driven decisions and improve business intelligence. Pro-actively analyzes financial and performance data to identify issues or fluctuations in activity early. Facilitates the process to understand key drivers. Helps build accountability in the organization. Makes recommendations to promote efficient operations/reduce costs. Develops work flow maps and standard operating procedures. Works on projects to implement approved recommended improvements such as improve reporting of the Parks Special Gifts Fund, storeroom automations, developing a lifecycle annual investment for the growing number of technology/security equipment. REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, economics, accounting, finance or a related field; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 1 year of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field.
