Under the general supervision of the Assistant Finance Director, the Performance Analyst is responsible for accurately collecting, compiling, manipulating, analyzing and reporting of Finance Department data. This may include technical, demographic, customer and financial data for the various operations within the Finance Department, which include billing & customer service, cash receipting, municipal court, accounting & financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and budget & financial planning. The Performance Analyst also coordinates the business needs of the Finance Department with other City departments regarding the accuracy, use, integrity and protection of data. While this position supports all Finance Department operations, the primary focus through 2020 will be billing & customer service operations, as the team prepares for and implements a new utility and general billing system that will replace a 27-year-old system. The Performance Analyst will serve a critical role as a functional lead for the Utility Billing and Customer Service module in the system replacement and process improvement project.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field, and at least 5 years of professional level systems analysis experience required. Experience with a municipal organization or government agency sector is preferred. Candidates may possess any combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrates their ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
