The Navajo Housing Authority, located in Window Rock, Arizona, is seeking an experienced leader to join a dedicated staff in managing the finances of the largest Indian Housing Authority in the nation. With a staff of 368 personnel spread across 15 field offices, the new CFO will be responsible for assisting the CEO and five-member Board of Commissioners in championing organizational initiatives with an emphasis on sound financial management. Federal grant funding in the range of $80 – $90 million annually is a key component of the budget, and to date the Navajo Housing Authority has spent over $1 billion towards housing projects.

Ideal candidates will possess a working knowledge of public housing and grant management with CPA candidates being preferable. Competitive candidates will have at least ten years of progressively responsible management experience and a Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field – a Master’s degree is preferred.
