The City has an immediate opening for an experienced and collaborative leader to join our Management Team as Finance Director. The Finance Director directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Finance Department and advises the City Manager and the City Council on financial matters.
Applicants for this position will have management level experience in a municipal government setting with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of public finance policies and accounting standards, reporting, planning, budgeting, investing payroll and purchasing.
REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration is desired but not required with proper experience; and five years’ work experience in governmental accounting, auditing and financial management, including considerable administrative and supervisory experience. A Master’s Degree or CPA certification is preferred.
