Performs difficult professional work supervising and participating in the operation of financial activities; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Finance Director. Supervision is exercised over subordinate personnel.
1.Supervises daily operations including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily banking and reporting.. 2.Provides other supervisory duties such as instructing, assigning and reviewing work, planning, delegating, coordinating activities, acting on employee problems, terminations, promotions and salary increases. 3.Reconciles and records property tax levy and collections and ambulance receivable. 4.Assists in the selection of new employees, employee evaluation and discipline procedures. 5.Manages investment of idle funds and debt service. 6.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fiscal regulations and confidentiality requirements in operating and maintaining a variety of systems, reports, records and files, 7.Works with Banks, Trustees, and software representatives. 8.Prepares audit schedules and assists in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. 9.Maintains reconciliation on a variety of expense and receivable accounts. 10.Prepares and maintains a variety of financial reports. 11.Supervises the central permit accounting for multiple jurisdictions. 12.Consults with and advises department representatives, answering questions, suggestion alternatives, correcting errors, and analyzing accounts. 13.Participates in the sale/refinancing of debt proceeds. 14.Manages foreclosure property transactions. 15.Responsible for Finance Website information/updates. 16.Performs related tasks as required.
