The College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at the University of Nevada, Reno seeks to fill a full-time administrative faculty position as the Fiscal and Human Resources Officer. This position will be an integral component of the University of Nevada, Reno, the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station, and the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources.

The Fiscal and Human Resources Officer is responsible for the financial management, human resources, and budgetary development functions of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources (CABNR) and the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station (NAES). The position is responsible for multi-million dollar budgets from State and Federal sources which includes management of Hatch, Multi-State, McIntire Stennis and Animal Health programs of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) which CABNR receives through the University of Nevada, Reno’s land grant status. CABNR currently has three departments with plans to expand that figure, field laboratories, and other units such as the Desert Farming Initiative and a USDA regulated meat processing facility. The Fiscal and Human Resources Officer is responsible for the financial and budgetary functions of the field laboratories self-supporting budgets and for the review and approval of all grant and contract proposals for CABNR. The position is additionally responsible for the Human Resources functions for faculty and classified employees for the college to include employee relations and for supervision of the Dean’s accounting staff.
