DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL SERVICES CITY OF LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO

The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, accounting, finance or related field. See Position Description for additional details.
• Have seven years of responsible experience in financial management and review, accounting or budget, including work in a governmental setting. Four years must be in an administrative role supervising staff. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.
Experience with a border community would be helpful.
The Director is the Chief Officer of the Las Cruces Department of Finance and is appointed by the City Manager. He/she shall be responsible to the Assistant City Manager/CAO for the administration of all City Finance Department affairs as set out in the City Ordinance.

The City of Las Cruces operates under a Council/Manager form of government. Current overall budget is $301,916,081.
