Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.  PCWA is headquartered in Auburn and provides water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water and the production of hydroelectric energy.  We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the following: ENERGY RISK MANAGER $81,590 - $104,131 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits. PCWA is seeking an engaged individual to join its energy transactions team to administer the Agency’s energy risk management program.  This position will assist in the review, monitoring and implementation of the Agency’s Energy Risk Management (ERM) Policy guidelines, including verifying energy transactions comport with transacting guidelines, assessing and implementing ERM controls, procedures and methodologies and monitoring portfolio adherence to ERM Policy.  The ideal candidate for this position will possess increasingly responsible experience in energy or financial risk management and the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative field.  A Master’s degree in risk management and a certificate in Energy Risk Management are desirable.
