Job Description: 

The City of Wyoming, located in western Michigan, seeks a Finance Director.  Wyoming functions under a Council-Manager form of government and has an operating budget in excess of $108 million. The City’s budget and the Comprehensive Financial Report are available for review on the City’s website. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, goal-oriented and genuinely inclusive leader, capable of providing mentorship, influence and direction in a manner that celebrates team success, also serving as a community leader by providing information and recommendations to the City Council and other governing boards, committees and commissions. The Finance Director must be fully versed in governmental accounting standards.  Familiarity with the New World System “LOGOS” financial system and be comfortable with BS&A’s Equalizer Program that is used for real and personal property taxes, inspections and a portion of cash receipting. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field is required and a graduate degree or CPA is preferred.
