GFOA Appoints New Director of Federal Liaison Center

Wednesday, May 4, 2016

Emily S. Brock has been appointed as the new director of GFOA’s Federal Liaison Center. She replaces Dustin McDonald, who left GFOA to pursue a government relations position in the marijuana industry.

Brock joined GFOA in 2015 as a senior policy advisor in the Federal Liaison Center and immediately began leading GFOA’s coalition and advocacy efforts in the areas of public pension, health-care reform, and Internet sales tax, as well as other federal preemption legislation. In so doing, Emily serves as the liaison between GFOA, our members, Congress, federal departments and agencies and self-regulatory organizations.
