William A. Stafford is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Evanston Township High School District 202.  Prior to that he was Finance Director for the City of Evanston for eight years.  Prior to that he was the Executive Director of the Illinois Metropolitan Investment Fund (a net asset value investment fund for governments) and Executive Director of the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association and served in finance positions for the Villages of Schaumburg and Streamwood, Illinois.  

Mr. Stafford is the President of the Board of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund which, at $31 billion in assets, is one of the top 25 largest public pension funds in the country.  He has also been a GFOA Budget Reviewer for over 25 years.  Bill also is an elected member of Oakton Community College’s Board of Directors where he currently service as their Vice President.  He also serves on the Illinois Comptrollers Local Government Advisory Board.  Bill has a Masters in Public Policy from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a Certificate of Professional Accounting from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and has been a CPA for over fifteen years
