Michelle Durgy is the Chief Investment Officer of the City and County of San Francisco and is responsible for the management of the City’s $6.5 billion fixed income portfolio. Before joining the City and County of San Francisco, she spent over ten years as an Investment Officer for the County of San Diego and as an investment consultant and portfolio manager for private, public and non-profit entities.

Ms. Durgy currently serves as President for the California Municipal Treasurers’ Association and has been a regular speaker at industry events and conferences. She has held FINRA Series 6, 7, 31, 63, 65 and 66 licenses and was recognized by Morgan Stanley for her expertise in the area of hedging strategies, options and Rule 144A restricted securities.

She graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with double majors in Comparative Literature and Latin. Ms. Durgy attended Santa Clara University School of Law and received a Master of Public Policy (Finance) from the University of Southern California.
