Each category provides links to research reports and resources such as PowerPoint presentations and case studies, links to GFOA Recommended Practices and links to leadng Organizations and informational webbsites.

- The GFOA Long-Term Financial Planning site provides resources to supplement those found in the GFOA's book, Financing the Future: Long-Term Financial Planning for Local Governments.
- GFOA has a long history of promoting performance management through publications, trainings, conference sessions, consulting services, its budget award program, and most recently, a recommended practice. This new website is intended to serve as a “one-stop-shop” for GFOA resources in this area and to further emphasize the importance of this discipline.
