13th Annual Governmental GAAP UpdateSatellite Teleconference Thursday, November 6, 20081 p.m. - 5 p.m. EST4 CPE CreditsOn November 6, 2008, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) will offer its much acclaimed Annual Governmental GAAP Update by satellite teleconference for the 13th consecutive year. Last year more than 3,000 accounting and auditing professionals participated in this unique interactive training opportunity at 149 sites across the country. This year’s teleconference is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Eastern Time. As usual, the program will offer a comprehensive and practical overview of all of the major developments in accounting and financial reporting during the past year that affect state and local governments, with special emphasis on the activities of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). PresenterThe program will be presented once again by Mr. Stephen J. Gauthier, the GFOA’s Director of Technical Services. Mr. Gauthier is the author of numerous GFOA publications, including Governmental Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting ( GAAFR or the “Blue Book”).
