John Saeli is responsible for monitoring and communicating Federal legislative and regulatory activities that may affect public sector retirement plans. In addition, Mr. Saeli leads development of plan sponsor and participant service enhancements.
Mr. Saeli has more than 30 years of financial services experience. Earlier in his tenure at ICMA-RC, he led teams responsible for developing proposals and delivering public sector plan sponsor reports on participant activity, investments and fees in their retirement plans. Before joining ICMA-RC in 1995, Mr. Saeli developed the procurement and client service components of an international proxy advisory service and prepared proposals for master custody services to defined benefit plans.
Mr. Saeli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and economics from American University. He co-authored State and Local Government Deferred Compensation Programs, published by the Government Finance Officers Association and ICMA-RC, as well as articles regarding public plans for industry publications.
