Lori Thomas joined the City of Rock Hill in 2007 and has served as the Finance and Insurances Manager since 2013. Prior to serving in this role, Lori served as Finance Manager and as Customer Services Manager. Before joining the City, Lori was a Chief Financial Officer and Controller in the private sector where she specialized in business development and financing for over twenty years.
Lori received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and her Master's in Business Administration from Winthrop University. She is a Certified Government Finance Officer, a member of the Government Finance Officer's Association and serves on the GFOA Committee on Retirement and Benefits Administration and is a member of the National Women in Public Finance Network. Lori is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina and serves on the Certification Committee and the Finance Committee and formerly served on the Executive Board. She is a member of the South Carolina Municipal Finance Officer's Clerks and Treasures Association, the Business Licenses Officials Association, the Public Risk Management Association, Public Risk Management Association of South Carolina.
