The Prince William County Fire and Rescue system is a fast-paced, dynamic and growing system comprised of the career department and volunteer fire and rescue companies. The Department of Fire and Rescue is seeking a highly skilled, energetic and dedicated professional with strong communication, technical, analytic and financial skills to serve as a Management and Fiscal Analyst for a nearly $100 million organization Duties will include coordination of system performance measurement, development of internal controls for agency programs and financial processes, expenditure and revenue monitoring and projections, financial reporting, capital asset inventory management and data analysis. Candidates should be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently to establish and achieve program and organization goals. Prince William County, VA is a large (pop. 415,000) and diverse county located 35 miles southwest of Washington, DC.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel and Access skills, and Sharepoint; experience in performance measurement; experience in local government finance, budget and/or accounting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration, accounting or a field related to area of assignment. 3-5 years of progressively responsible professional management analysis or fiscal analysis experience.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $53,079.00 - $71,604.00yr.
