Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award Winners Announced

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

The winners of GFOA’s Popular Annual Financial Reporting Program have been announced for fiscal years ended in 2013 (the most recent awards). There are now more than 300 governments participating in the program, which helps state and local governments extract information from their comprehensive annual financial report to produce high quality popular annual financial reports – reports that are specifically designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public and other interested parties who don’t have a background in public finance – and then to recognize individual governments that are successful in achieving that goal.
Popular annual financial reports submitted to the PAFR Program are reviewed by selected members of the GFOA professional staff and by outside reviewers with experience in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
