Job Description: 

Under general direction from the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Financial Services, prepares County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and directs the accomplishment of grants, contracts, capital assets and debt management functions in the Finance Department. Performs highly responsible and complex duties in the preparation and maintenance of accounting records for the Board of County Commissioners. Performs the duties of the COO in his/her absence. Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field in required.  A Master’s degree in Finance and CGFO and/or CPFO are desirable.  A valid CPA license is mandatory.  Must possess the ability to be bonded.  Five years in a responsible government fund accounting position and three years in a supervisory role is required.
