The city of Boulder is seeking qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant position. Duties include providing financial, accounting and analytical services to the Financial Reporting/Treasury Division, assisting with the external audit, assisting with the preparation of the CAFR, improving processes and procedures, assisting with the implementation of the new financial system, and training staff. Strong governmental accounting and oral and written communication skills are essential. The candidate must practice and be a role model for the values of the city. Required qualifications include: a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management and 5 years experience in governmental accounting. Additional qualifications desired include: a Masters Degree in a related field, CPA, and experience compiling a CAFR. This position will be open until August 29, 2014.
