This world-class public organization is seeking a Director of Finance. With an annual budget for FY 2017/2018 of approximately $475.5 million for all funds, a general fund budget of approximately $236.8 million, and a capital improvement budget of $78.2 million, the City of Beverly Hill’s Director of Finance will work closely with both the City Manager and the City Council to formulate and implement city-wide fiscal and administrative policies. Additionally, the Director of Finance is responsible for oversight of the Finance Department, comprised of approximately 40 employees. Top tier candidates will have knowledge of current trends, issues, and legislative matters with the ability to monitor and implement GASB pronouncements and assess the current, pending, and future fiscal impacts on the organization. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and substantial experience in fiscal management, accounting, and/or budget management, or closely related experience including management of professional staff. Experience working for a California public entity is strongly preferred. Additionally, a Master’s degree and CPA license is desired.
