Accounting Technician – Cashier Salary $61,268.69 – $78,195.94 Annual
The City of Sunnyvale is recruiting for the position of an Accounting Technician – Cashier. Technicians assigned to this division are responsible for staffing the Finance Department lobby and serving as the main cashier for the City. Daily duties include processing checks, making cash and check deposits, balancing the cash drawer, verifying daily cash receipts and preparing the daily cash receipts voucher. Accounting Technicians work under general supervision of an assigned supervisor, and provide technical accounting support in one or more of the following areas: accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, auditing, revenue collections, or related functions; performs tasks related to the day-to-day operations of assigned area including inputting and running financial data, process checks, process exceptions, and answer questions; and perform related work as required.
Requires graduation from high school or tested equivalent and two years of technical accounting support experience, with at least one year specific to one of the assigned functional areas, including automated financial systems.
