Under limited supervision, must be mentally and physically capable of establishing and administering Florence County’s financial operations in areas such as financial report preparation, budget preparation, budget planning and control, accounting, payroll and accounts payable as well as EMS billing. Supervises professional and clerical personnel in the performance of various financial management functions. Supervises other departments/divisions as assigned by County Administrator. Performs related duties as required. Reports to the County Administrator.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance or accounting supplemented by six to nine years of governments accounting, financial accounting and budgeting, three to five of which have been in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. CPA certification preferred.
