1. Why did you want to become a CPFO? 

I was drawn to the CPFO program to accelerate my professional development and improve my financial decision-making skills.   

2. What did you learn going through the process? 

I learned a lot in each aspect of government finance, but strategic financial planning stuck out to me the most.  Understanding how to align financial strategies with organizational goals and priorities was one of the many important skills I was able to learn.

3. How has becoming a CPFO made an impact on you in your profession?  

The certification has enhanced my ability to contribute to the success of my team, and overall financial health of the organization.

4. What would you say to others thinking about becoming a CPFO? 

Just do it!  There is so much to gain from the program.
