Diane Waldron is currently the Comptroller for the City of Bristol in Connecticut. Diane has almost 30 years of experience as a Finance Director in a number of communities in Connecticut including Glastonbury, Cheshire, Woodbridge and North Branford. She has extensive experience in pension and benefits and has implemented a number of plan design changes and cost saving initiatives in both areas. In addition she has received the GFOA Awards for Financial Reporting and Budget, been instrumental in the annual budget process, capital and debt financing and policy development in a number of areas.
Diane has her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Fairfield University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to her municipal experience she worked for Deloitte and Touche and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has also attended the GFOA Advanced Government Institute at the University of Wisconsin.
Diane is a past president for the Connecticut GFOA and the New England GFOA and currently serves as a board member for both organizations. She also serves on the Committee on Retirement and Benefits Administration for the GFOA.
