The City of Broken Arrow is seeking qualified applicants for the Director of Finance. Located in the Tulsa metropolitan area, Broken Arrow is the fourth largest city in Oklahoma with an estimated population of 112,000.
The City of Broken Arrow operates under a council-manager form of government. Broken Arrow has 801 employees and an FY2017/18 budget of $240 million. Under the supervision of the Assistant City Manager for Administration, this position is responsible for directing the financial affairs of the City. The Finance Director plans, directs, monitors, and evaluates the activities of the following divisions: Accounting, Financial Services, and Revenue.
The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in ﬁnance, accounting, business administration, or a related area; a master’s degree is preferred. This position requires seven to ten years of experience in municipal ﬁnance, three to ﬁve years of relevant supervisory experience, and demonstrated knowledge of the principles of governmental budgeting and accounting. A Certiﬁed Public Accountant is preferred. The starting salary range is $100,000 to $130,000 with the top of the range at $145,000.
