MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FINANCE DEPARTMENT Finance Systems Support Administrator Salary Range: $97,391 – $154,174

Miami-Dade Finance Department is seeking an experienced and results-oriented professional to perform a variety of functions involving finance systems process implementation; application security; and internal controls coordination. Incumbents in this class provide leadership and work across functional areas and departments to provide solutions and process improvements. In collaboration with IT professionals, the incumbent coordinates with financial software application's integrators/consultants on all matters related to software maintenance and enhancements as well as on problem resolutions.
Responsibilities include: Providing support to over 25 departments in the use of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and other related systems(e.g. fixed asset valuation), encompassing configuration settings such as creation and maintenance of chart of accounts fields and budget controls, system security access to ensure proper segregation of duties, financial report generation, validation and distribution; training and coordinating the introduction and implementation of new technologies to support countywide and departmental initiatives as they relate to enterprise financial systems. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience and a proven track record in planning, assigning and directing functions associated with finance systems process support and implementation within a large complex organization.
PREFERENCE: Accounting background is highly desirable.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in FAMIS or a complex information systems environment to include two years of supervisory experience is required.
