The Pasco County School Board, Land O’ Lakes. Florida, is seeking to hire a Director of Finance Services. This position requires applicants to possess independent decision making skills, effective written and oral communication, ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, innate leadership ability, technical proficiency, knowledge of governmental accounting, budgeting and financial reporting standards, Governmental Auditing Standards, Internal Revenue Code, Florida Statutes and State Board of Education rules, ability to prepare financial and budget reports. The Director is responsible for overseeing the supervision of accounting, budget, payroll, accounts payable, capital funding fixed assets and other functions. The Pasco County School Board serves approximately 71,000 students, has a total budget of $1.2 Billion budget and employees approximately 10,000 full-time employees. Education Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, have a Florida Certified Public Accountant certificate or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Business Management with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in the accounting field.
