Performs advanced accounting functions related to the general ledger.
Converts Fund financial information under modified accrual accounting to accrual financial information required for the annual financial statements. Coordinate and provide information to external auditors.
Set-up, maintain, and monitor sub-systems of the financial system including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Budgeting, Service Billing, Work Orders, Inventory, Job Cost, Fixed Assets, and Equipment. Ensure system and sub-system integrity. Approve and monitor all integration of other systems into the financial system. Research discrepancies and initiate corrections.
Coordinate, evaluate, and supervise all accounting functions necessary for all aspects of the Fixed Asset system. Provide advanced accounting support to the Fixed Asset system. Maintain asset information for financial reporting and insurance purposes.
Perform financial research and analysis, reconcile accounts, and reconcile various grant reports. Reconcile cash and investments from the Treasurer's records to the General Ledger. Develop and implement procedures and practices for improved reporting efficiency and accuracy. Initiate corrective actions as needed.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
