Job Description: 

Under general direction, to plan, direct and be responsible for the work of the Fiscal/Investment Division of the Kern County Employees' Retirement Association (KCERA); and to perform complex and difficult accounting and auditing duties or systems analysis of financial operations and automated system development. This singleton classification is responsible for the daily operations of the Fiscal/Investment Division of KCERA. The Retirement Financial Officer is a first level management position responsible for participating in and directing staff and/or outside consultants in both fiscal and investment administration. This classification is distinguished from the Accountant classification by its responsibility for the specialized accounting and investment functions which comprise the independent County Retirement system operating under the 1937 County Retirement Act.
