Job Description: 

Glendora is nestled at the base of the scenic San Gabriel Mountains, in the eastern portion of Los Angeles County. With a population of just over 50,000, Glendora is located approximately 27 miles from downtown Los Angeles and offers convenient access to major commercial, cultural, educational and recreational areas in Southern California. The Finance Director/City Treasurer functions as the administrative head of the Finance Department which is composed of financial services including accounting, payroll, accounts receivable and cashiering, budgeting, water and refuse billing, purchasing, business licensing, information systems, and City Treasurer. The Finance Director/City Treasurer has four direct reports with a Department staff of 15 (FTE).  Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major work in public or business administration, accounting or a closely related field; and five years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting including at least three years as an Assistant Director or in a high level municipal finance supervisory capacity.
