Commensurate with Experience. The Financial Reporting Analyst's primary responsibility is to use accounting techniques to compile, analyze, and document agency's financial data. Responsibilities -Work with financial reporting professionals on an enterprise level to prepare the financial statements and footnotes of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the Budgetary Compliance Report (BCR) and other statewide financial reports. Assist Senior Financial Reporting Mangers with the research and development of accounting procedures and policies with integrate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GMP), Governmental Accounting Standards, statutory accounting requirements, and department fiscal policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Completion of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field AND three years professional level experience in accounting and/or a closely related fiscal activity. Must have a solid working knowledge (intermediate) of software and database systems used in financial reporting, and be proficient with spreadsheet programs, such as MS Excel.
