Mark McLean serves as the Disaster Recovery & Resilience Manager for the City and County of San Francisco’s (CCSF) Office of the Controller. The Office of the Controller provides citywide financial oversight and management of CCSF’s $10 billion budget, including ensuring the resiliency of CCSF’s financial operations during an emergency and serves as the lead agency managing the Finance and Administration Section of CCSF’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Mark previous worked for CCSF’s Office of Assessor-Recorder and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). Prior to working in the public sector for the past 8 years, Mark worked as a public finance consultant focusing on utility rate studies in California, as a federal proposal coordinator for an environmental remediation company, as an education analyst for Research Triangle Institute (RTI) and as a middle school history teacher. Mark holds a MPP degree from UC Berkeley and earned his BA from Davidson College.
