Job Description: 

Primary duties include advanced level coordination and oversight of purchasing and procurement services for managers, operations supervisors and department staff in accordance with county and department policies and procedures. Includes the procurement of goods and services; evaluating vendor, product and market trends; research of product features, cost analysis, and product availability. Determine best methods of procurement (e.g. formal I informal solicitations) or when an exemption from purchasing rules is appropriate. Evaluate, interpret and tabulate responses to determine awards for informal solicitations following approved state, county and department policies and procedures. Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills - An Associate's degree with course work in business, purchasing or a related field; Five years’ experience in purchasing or contract administration or an equivalent combination of  education  and  experience. Preferred  Special  Qualifications/Transferable  Skills - CPPB or CPPO Certification is desired but not required.  Apply online.
