Steve Kreklow is currently the Village Administrator of Germantown, Wisconsin, a community of approximately 20,000 residents just northwest of Milwaukee, where he is responsible for all aspects of village administration and management. Prior to joining the Village of Germantown, Steve was Director of Milwaukee County’s Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget where he was responsible management of the County’s $1 billion annual budget, development of the five-year capital plan, long-term financial planning and performance management. Steve has over twenty-five years of experience in financial and operations management at multiple levels and types of government. In addition to his experience at the Village of Germantown and Milwaukee County, Steve’s experience includes positions with the City of Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the Government Finance Officers Association and the United States Office of Personnel Management. Steve teaches courses in local government budgeting and financial management for the UW-Milwaukee Master of Public Administration program and spends his free time coaching youth sports, teaching Sunday school and enjoying time with his wife, six children and two grandchildren.
