National Association of Municipal Advisors (NAMA)

Susan is the Executive Director of the National Association of Municipal Advisors, an association dedicated to ensuring that municipal advisors are held to the highest standards of ethics, qualifications, training and regulatory compliance.  As Executive Director, Susan is responsible for the operations of NAMA, including its regulatory affairs efforts, educational programs, and membership outreach.

Susan also provides consulting services to other organizations and public finance professionals.

Prior to these current engagements, Susan served for twelve years as the Director of the Government Finance Officers Association’s Federal Liaison Center and has extensive experience with organizational policymaking, advocacy campaigns, and member relations. Before joining GFOA, she was head of Government and Conference Relations for the Economic Strategy Institute, a DC think tank that focuses on economic and international trade policy.  She began her career in the office of (former) Representative Peter Hoagland (D-NE), is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and currently resides in Southern California.
