The City of Boulder is looking for a Tax Auditor I or II to serve in an innovative, collaborative and dynamic environment. The position reports to the Revenue and Licensing Officer, support the strategic efforts of a customer service oriented organization, and work in a collaborative manner to foster teamwork, coordination, while ensuring that individuals and companies comply with City of Boulders tax and licensing laws. Successful candidates will have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in an independent or team environment with strong communication skills. Required qualifications include (but are not limited to): a Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field, a minimum of one year experience in auditing or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and financial work experience. Additional qualifications desired include MBA, MPA, CPA or CPA candidate, experience with computerized accounting systems and direct governmental sales and use tax audit experience.
