This session is designed for finance officers in small governments and will focus on unique considerations that small governments face when developing financial policies.
Developing financial policies are essential for governments to establish the baseline how organizations will be managed financially and in developing its long-term financial management strategy. GFOA recommends governments formally adopt financial policies, although many small governments struggle adapting the financial policies best practices based on the unique needs and issues many small governments face. This sixty minute webinar will highlight how a small government was able to adapt GFOA financial policy best practices to meet their unique needs.
