GFOA's Women’s Public Finance Network (WPFN) fosters the careers of women in public finance through education, networking, and mentoring opportunities. Guided by the 2026–2027 theme, "Lead. Influence. Transform.," this session will focus on how women at all stages of their careers can strengthen their leadership presence, expand their influence, and drive meaningful change within their organizations and communities.
The session will explore how core leadership principles translate to public finance, including decision-making under pressure, building trust, navigating change, and empowering others to perform at their best. Through reflection and discussion, attendees will be encouraged to continue learning from one another and to apply practical leadership strategies that elevate not only their own careers, but also their teams, organizations, and the public they serve.
