Speaker Confirmation Form

Please review and complete the following information to help us prepare for and market your conference session. Information provided here will be posted on GFOA's website and used in other promotional materials.

As a speaker and/or moderator for GFOA's 120th Annual Conference in Chicago on June 28-July 1, 2026. I understand that I must comply with GFOA’s speaker guidelines and requirements, including but not limited to compliance with deadlines, restrictions against marketing material, and GFOA’s conference registration policies. If you have any questions, please contact your GFOA staff coordinator or Katie Ludwig.

As a speaker or moderator for the GFOA Annual Conference, I agree to the following:

  1. I give my permission and authorize GFOA to use my name, title, affiliation, and other information contained within my bio or other submitted information for marketing purposes related to the annual conference.
  2. I understand that my presentation or portions of my presentation may be photographed, recorded, including audio and/or video and that GFOA may use recordings in future promotional materials.
  3. I also understand that any presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides, handouts, or additional information need to be submitted in advance of the conference to my Session Coordinator by the deadline communicated to me. All presentation materials will also be posted on GFOA’s Learning Management System (LMS), conference app, or website for download. I also understand that I may not distribute additional hard copies of the handout at the session without the consent of GFOA.
  4. All presentations should be focused on educational content and avoid marketing, sales, or vendor promotional content.
  5. I will not include any copyrighted materials without permission or make any disparaging statements that would violate GFOA's code of ethics or applicable professional standards.
