In 2026, state and local budgets, capital plans, and financial markets are being impacted by federal policy decisions in new ways, and GFOA's Federal Liaison Center (FLC) remains active in advocating to maintain state and local flexibilities, protect state and local revenues, and reduce unfunded mandates.
