Internal/External Position Opening: Finance Director

The Village of Los Lunas, is currently accepting applications for the following position:

Position Summary:

The Finance Director is responsible for leading, overseeing, planning, directing, and developing the Village of Los Lunas’s Finance and Utility Billing divisions. This is a strategic level and hands-on position that works closely with the Village Administrator and Leadership Team to develop and monitor the annual budget and strategy by way of creating and updating the budget to capture short-term and long-term strategies and priorities of the Village. The Finance Director plays a critical role in strategic decision-making and actively ensures efficient and effective Financial, Budgeting, Accounting, Annual Audit, and Utility Billing, operations, practices, and policies.

Pay Grade/Rate of Pay:
Pay Grade: S
Pay Range: $ 72,716 - $93,475 depending on qualifications and experience

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration; or a combination of a Bachelor’s Degree in above named degrees AND a Certified Public Account (CPA) credential; five (5) years of high-level public sector financial and administrative management experience to include three (3) years of strategic planning, personnel management, government fund accounting, and leadership experience, required; OR an equivalent combination of direct, demonstrated experience, education, certification, or licensure required. Preferred: Certified Public Accountant Licensure, at least three years in a supervisory role AND at least three years’ experience in the government sector.
