About the Board
By serving on GFOA's Executive Board, you'll have the opportunity to put your leadership skills and knowledge of public finance to work to help members continue to build thriving communities. GFOA's Executive Board members serve a three-year term tied to the dates of the GFOA annual conference (June 2024-June 2027). Board members are expected to participate in all meetings including three (3) on-site meetings per year plus GFOA's committee meetings. Meetings are typically held in March, May/June (at GFOA annual conference), and September. GFOA's committee meetings are in January. Locations of meetings vary. GFOA reimburses expenses for individuals to attend board meetings.
