Job Description

Hilton Head PSD is seeking an Accounting Specialist – Inventory and Purchasing to support financial operations by performing accounting and purchasing services. This role will perform inventory accounting, purchasing, receiving, and warehouse organization management functions and will administer and perform accounting for the District’s procurement card program. Duties will also include ensuring compliance with the District’s purchasing policy, negotiating vendor pricing, and maintaining the District’s bidders list. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting standards as well as excellent written communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, at least five years of direct inventory accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Utility experience and/or direct inventory accounting experience is highly preferred. Excellent benefits package.
