The City of Burnet is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Finance. The Assistant Director of Finance performs highly complex (senior-level) accounting work. Work involves preparing and/or overseeing the preparation of financial analyses and reports; establishing and maintaining accounting systems, procedures, and controls; and assisting with the preparation of department budgets. Provides oversight of the Utility Billing Department to ensure accurate utility billing and collections. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Bachelor's degree from an accredited (4) four‐year college or university in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related field and CPA or commensurate governmental experience is required or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
